While you may have received this information before, we wanted to make sure that you, your neighbors, family, and friends were aware of and can be adequately prepared for more potential Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS).
From now until Friday, January 24th at 5:00 PM many backcountry communities are at risk of Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS) due to high fire risk weather conditions.
Currently, nearly 17,000 SDGE customers are experiencing PSPS, and nearly 67,000 SDGE customers are at risk. To check if your community is affected, please visit www.sdge.com/psps-dashboard.
To support customers affected by PSPS, SDGE opens Community Resource Centers that offer:
- Water
- Wi-Fi
- Medical Device Charging
- Snacks
- Phone Charging
- Ice
- Car power-inverter
- Small solar-powered batteries and radios
- Water trucks for livestock (residents should bring their own vessel for transporting water)
- Up-to-date information on outages
