SURVEY: Sign Onto Supervisor Anderson's Letter to President Biden re: Border Crisis
Sign Onto Supervisor Anderson's Letter to President Joe Biden on the Border Crisis
On May 3, 2023, Supervisor Anderson wrote a letter to President Joe Biden requesting swift federal assistance ahead of the potential lifting of Title 42 restrictions on May 11. With Title 42 restrictions anticipated to end, the U.S. border could see anywhere from 9,000 to 12,000 asylum seekers crossing each day. San Diego’s migrant shelters expect to hit capacity with the surge. We need federal support to ensure asylum seekers do not end up on the street and further add to San Diego’s homelessness crisis.
Read Supervisor Anderson's May 3 Letter to President Biden.
If you would like to sign onto Supervisor Anderson's letter, please fill out the form below. Supervisor Anderson's staff will compile responses and send them to the White House and San Diego's Congressional Delegation.
I agree with Supervisor Anderson's letter to President Joe Biden and request that the President's Administration provide San Diego County with the necessary resources to address the anticipated influx of migrants upon the lifting of Title 42 restrictions.
